What we promise, and what we ask.

1. Who you are dealing with

Firstfold is a service of PQ Project, a company registered in Lebanon, run by its founder, who builds every site personally. "We" and "us" mean that party. "You" means the business that asked for a first fold or a build, and the person acting for it.

2. The free first fold

The first fold of your homepage is built free, before any payment. It is built from the four fields on the form and your current website, published at a private link that search engines are told not to index, and it costs you nothing. You can ask for one more pass, also free. If you do not go ahead, we delete the request and the fold 90 days after sending it. We may decline to build a fold, and we say so within two business days. The fold is ours until you buy a build, and yours with the site once the balance is paid.

3. The build

You choose one of the tiers shown on your proposal page (Essential at $1,950, Growth at $2,950, Premium at $4,950) and what each one includes is listed there and on the pricing section at the moment you choose. Not included in any tier: online stores with product catalogues, custom software, content in languages other than English, photography itself (Premium includes direction, not a shoot), and anything not named in the tier. If you want something outside the tier, we quote it in writing before doing it, and nothing outside the tier is done without that.

4. How you accept these terms

Ticking the box on your proposal page and choosing a tier records your acceptance of these terms, with the date, the time and the version. Paying the deposit confirms it. No signature is needed and none is asked for. If you want a copy for your files, print the proposal page; it carries your business name and the tier you chose.

5. Payment

Prices are in US dollars. $500 to start, refunded in full if you do not approve the finished site. The balance is due only when you do. The deposit is $500 whichever tier you choose, and it counts toward the price, so the balance is the tier price less $500 (for example $2,450 on Growth). We send the deposit request through Payoneer within one working day of your choice; it takes a card or a US bank debit and the fees are ours. The build starts the day the deposit clears. The balance is due when you tell us the finished site is right, and the site goes live when it clears. The preview stays up for 60 days after approval; if the balance has not arrived by then, we may take it down.

The deposit is refundable. If you have filled in the brief and sent at least one round of written changes on the preview, and you still do not approve the finished site, tell us so in writing and we refund the $500 in full within five business days and delete the site. A deposit paid and then abandoned without a brief or without a round of changes is not refunded, because no site was possible. If we have not started within ten working days of the deposit clearing, not counting time spent waiting for your brief, you may cancel and we refund the deposit in full. Card payments through Payoneer also carry your card's own protections.

6. Your brief, your content, the timeline

After you choose a tier you fill in a short written brief. You supply the facts about your business, your logo, your photos and anything else that must appear, and you confirm you have the right to use them. We write the copy from your brief and your current site and we never invent a fact, a number, a review or a credential; if we cannot verify a claim from what you gave us, it stays off the site. First fold in 2 business days. Full site live in about 10 days. "About ten days" counts from a complete brief and a cleared deposit. Time spent waiting for your answers or material extends it; any delay on our side is told to you in writing before it happens. Whatever is said on a call is confirmed by email the same day, and the email is what counts.

7. Revisions and approval

You see the whole site at a private link before it launches. Ask for changes there, in writing, and we make them, as many rounds as it takes, within what the tier includes. The site is approved when you tell us in writing that it is right. Changes after launch are part of a maintenance plan or quoted separately.

8. Ownership

When the balance is paid, the site is yours: the files, the design, and the copy and imagery we produced for you. You buy the domain yourself, at a registrar you control, and we connect it; it is never registered to us. On request we hand you the complete site as a folder within five business days, and it runs on any host without us. Until the balance is paid, the site and the fold remain ours. The build system we used to make it stays ours, and your site does not depend on it. If we become unavailable for any reason, you hold the domain and, on request or at the end of any plan, the complete folder, and the site runs on any host without us. Unless you tell us not to, we may show your site's name and a screenshot in our work.

9. Maintenance and hosting

Maintenance plans are Care at $85 a month, Grow at $249 a month, Scale at $499 a month, billed monthly in advance by Payoneer request, and what each includes is on the pricing section. Hosting is part of every plan, which is how the site stays online. Every plan is month to month from day one. Cancel any month; the site is yours to take. Without a plan, hosting is yours to arrange and we hand over the folder. After any minimum period a plan ends with 30 days' written notice from either side, and the site keeps running exactly as it is; only the updates stop.

10. The performance promise

Every page we launch scores 90 or above on all four categories of Google's Lighthouse test (performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO), measured with Google's public tool on the launched pages. A page under 90 at launch is fixed before the balance is due. The promise covers the site as we launched it; scripts, embeds or plugins added afterwards, and changes made by someone other than us, are outside it. We make no promise about search rankings, traffic or enquiries, because no honest builder can.

11. Limits

We provide the site as described here and on your proposal page. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses. Our total liability to you for anything arising from a build or a plan is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

12. Ending a build

Either side may end a build in writing before approval; the refund rules in section 5 apply. We may end a build or a plan for non-payment, or for abusive conduct toward the people doing the work, and in that case we refund any money paid for work not yet done.

14. Changes to these terms

These terms carry a version date. The version you accepted governs your build. A maintenance plan follows the current version, and we tell you in writing 30 days before a change applies to it.

15. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, United States. If something goes wrong, we talk it through in writing first, and neither side goes further until that has been tried.
